Orange Aeropress Kaapi

Summer is upon us and what better way to beat the heat than to pair up the freshness of orange with the punch of an espresso?

Orange Espresso was created after being heavily inspired by its versions aplenty on Instagram. We strongly felt you avid brewers deserved a version than can be tried at home with minimal gear and sophistication. We really hope you enjoy this gorgeous drink that can be made hot or cold as per your liking. 

Serves – 1 Cup

Ingredients

  • 150ml of fresh Orange Juice
  • 45ml of sugar Syrup
  • 18g of Love Kaapi -Pure Kaapi (Grounds)
  • 90g of Boiling Water
  • 4-5 cubes of ice (optional)


Equipment:

  • AeroPress for Espresso
  • Thermometer


Espresso Recipe:

  1. The espresso is brewed with AeroPress using the inverted method.
  2. Line the Filter cap with AeroPress paper filter.
  3. Weigh 18g of Coffee grounds and add into the chamber.
  4. Add 90g of boiling hot water at 96 degrees.
  5. Start your timer when the water hits the coffee.
  6. Stir gently for 30 seconds.
  7. Cover the AeroPress with cap and press it down release all the air. Wait until 90 seconds.
  8. At 90 seconds with a glass placed on top, flip the AeroPress, swirl and plunge within 20 seconds.


ORANGE ESPRESSO RECIPE:
Take a glass that can accommodate up to 270ml of liquid. Add the sugar syrup and ice cubes followed by orange juice. Top it up with the freshly brewed AeroPress Espresso. Stir and slowly sip on this orange caffeine fix to feel refreshed on a summer afternoon.
