As a part of a new series to answer the "Wh" questions pertaining to @Love, Kaapi, here is the second instalment - How did I start Love, Kaapi?
Nestled in the lush hills of Chikamagalur, the heart of Indian coffee, my journey began with a deep-rooted passion for our family’s legacy in coffee cultivation. As a member of the coffee planters community, I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best mentors in the industry—renowned coffee planters, Q-graders, and roasters who’ve shaped my understanding of this remarkable craft.
With my savings and an unwavering commitment to our traditional business, I embarked on a mission to forward integrate our family’s coffee legacy. I believed that the world deserved to taste the rich, aromatic flavors that our land produces. So, with just 3 kgs of coffee being ordered monthly, I took a leap of faith, fueled by love for coffee and the dream of sharing its magic.
Fast forward to today: Love, Kaapi has blossomed into a thriving venture, delivering over 500 kgs of premium coffee each month! This transformation wasn’t just about scaling a business; it was about honoring our heritage and connecting people with the essence of Chikamagalur coffee.
If you’re contemplating your own entrepreneurial journey, remember that every big dream starts small. Embrace your roots, seek knowledge, and don’t be afraid to take risks. Every cup of coffee we brew tells a story—one of passion, perseverance, and a deep connection to our land.
I invite you to be part of our story at Love, Kaapi. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or an aspiring entrepreneur, I’d love to hear from you! Let’s connect over a cup of our artisanal coffee and explore how we can inspire each other.
Best,
Supriya
